Rapid Prototyping | SLA & SLS 3D Printing
Industry: Energy

The Challenge

Mobile Power, a company transforming energy and transport with innovative, low-cost energy solutions, needed prototype components to test the fit and function of their MOPO50 and MOPOMax batteries. Their mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy across Sub-Saharan Africa, where their solar-powered MOPO Hubs are already providing electricity for homes, businesses, and electric transport. To bring their new battery designs to market quickly, they required fast, cost-effective prototypes for early-stage validation.

The Solution

We utilised Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D printing technologies to produce precisely detailed, functional battery components. These prototypes enabled Mobile Power to:

  • Conduct fit and function testing of the MOPO50 and MOPOMax designs.

  • Validate their engineering decisions with high accuracy and durability.

  • Move confidently from R&D into production at speed.

The Results

  • Delivered high-quality prototypes quickly and cost-effectively.

  • Supported Mobile Power’s mission to accelerate product development for clean energy solutions.

  • Enabled critical design validation that reduced risk and improved time-to-market.
